Effectively Synthesizing Everything You Do Into A Single Page On Your Website Is A Tall Task. These Four Companies Have Done It Right.

Presenting your services on your website is an essential ways to market your business. A services page is your chance to tell the world what you do and how you do it.

Services pages do the job of categorizing your offerings so visitors can determine how you can solve their particular business pain point, issue, or challenge – and you can generate qualified leads!

The complexity of the page is a function of how many services a business offers. These examples show how businesses have designed pages to clearly organize multiple service offerings and present a unique selling proposition for each.

1. Servicepower

Servicepower has a lot of information to convey on its services page, and it does so by creating distinct funnels for each type of potential customer. Prospects looking for workforce management consulting, for example, are given a specific call-to-action and link to learn more.

The page also does a great job of mixing in customer testimonials for each of the services it provides using a sliding presentation in the middle of the page. Each testimonial is punctuated with a link to learn more about that service.

Servicepower also offers gated content opportunities in multiple locations – both at the top and bottom of the page – offering valuable information and maximizing the company’s opportunities to generate leads on the page.

2. Salesforce

Dog, rocketship, and hot air balloon cartoons provide a soft entry to the technical descriptions of Salesforce’s data-driven customer relationship management services on its services page. The lighthearted header imagery leads to copy about how Salesforce helps businesses with customized solutions.

Without scrolling down, the page visitor is given multiple entry points and a variety of helpful details, including links to an FAQ, a services video, an e-book, and contact information. A unique sidebar design keeps this information in front of the visitor even as the visitor scrolls down the page.

A case study featuring a big-name brand highlights the middle of the page. Then, the cartoons return at the bottom to soften the presentation once again and leave visitors with a jovial feeling.

3. Applico

Applico uses a tile design to cleanly present three different services. The combination of imagery, headers, and descriptive text gives a concise introduction to each offering. And a call-to-action button for each service encourages prospects to read more.

The page’s use of white space adds emphasis to the descriptions and calls-to-action.

Applico anchors the page at the bottom with more opportunities for prospects to engage, presenting links to the company’s social media profiles and a sign-up form for its newsletter.

4. Hortonworks

Hortonworks uses an anchor design to categorize its service page content, giving visitors a top-of-page navigation menu with single word links that jump to the corresponding section of the page.

Looking for an overview of services or a more detailed description of professional services? The anchor navigation links you to the portion of the page that will meet your needs.

As a business-to-business data services company working across many industries, Hortonworks has a wealth of information to present on its services page. Its use of two drop-down menus in the middle of the page helps site visitors find the right information. “What kind of support do you need?” the menu asks, allowing visitors to select the service category that best suits them, linking them to more detailed information.

The page also makes use of a mid-page slider to serve up multiple customer testimonials without taking up too much vertical space.

Effective website services pages concisely organize a lot of information. These four companies have used exemplary page design to do the job, leading their site visitors to the information that is most valuable to them and maximizing lead generation on their sites.
